INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Rice

5 Cups of Water Salt to taste Sugar or Honey to serve Evaporated Milk or your choice of milk to serve

 

PREPARATION:

1- Wash the rice until the water runs clear.

2- Drain excess water using sieve.

3- Place rice in a pot.

4- Add 5 cups of water.

5- Cook the rice until soft. Use additional water if required to get the rice very soft and mushy.

6- Add a pinch of salt to taste.

7- Using the flat side of a wooden spoon, mash the rice until it’s soft and comes together in lumps. Add some boiled hot water/hot milk to loosen it up to the thickness and consistency you prefer. 

8- Serve the rice water hot with some evaporated milk, sugar/honey, toasted nuts and coconut flakes or whatever you fancy in your pudding.
